From Fereastra Mare we climb to the nearby of Vârful Slănina, 2268m and then descend to Fereastra Mică, 2196. The trails descend through the wide cauldron

To La Cruce

We climb to the nearby of peak Gălăşescu Mic, 2410m, and then descend to Vistisoarei saddle 2291m. The trails travel round peak Galbenele 2156m, we leave the main ridge behind until Portiţa Viştei, 2310m when we are back again

After a 50 minutes long rugged ascent we reach peak Vistea Mare 2527m. A short path links it to peak Moldoveanu (2544m.)

To Brădet through Vâlsanului vale

From Viştea Mare we descend into Orzănelei saddle(2305m) from where it travels leftwards

To Podul Giurgiului sheep-folds

we go round Vf.Orzănelei, 2418m and reach Şaua Ucişoarei, 2312m. We again go round peaks Ucea Mare (2434m) and Corabia (2407m)and reach Şaua Ucii Mari, 2220m.One more ascent and we are at Podul Giurgiului cauldron. Leaving Podul Giurgiului saddle (2340m) behind, we go round Tărâţa Mare peak and reach Podragului saddle (2307m.)
