The red cross trails start at Turnu Rosu railway station and go towards Ciorului hill. After 30 minutes of climbing we reach the top of the ridge and then descend to meadow Lunca Frasinului. We pursue to Chica Frasinuluira and ridge Pietriceaua. At about 1000m height, 11/2 hours away from the station we start climbing Hula Pietroasa. The next ascent takes us to Fântâna peak. Another 45 minutes and we reach the 1350m heigh alpine meadows. We soon reach the top of Comarnic and follow the trails along the main ridge. One more ascent and we are at a 1600m height a bit south of the two peaks of mountain Chica. Here we meet the red streak trails
