The blue cross trails start at Lacul Călţun (2135m). It travels on the southern rage of Lăiţelu mountain and takes us to Paltinul cauldron. Once we cross Izvorul Paltinului brook on a rockier area we meet the red dot trail
It accompanies us for a while until we turn right. the red dot trail goes around the cauldron and climbs to the feet of Paltinul. It crosses a rockier section intersected by many brooklets and travels to our destination, to the transfagaras tunnel. Capra tourist lodge is 30 minutes away from here,while the Balea one is at 20 minutes walk
