Bâlea Lac - Bâlea waterfall through Doamnei vale

The red cross trails start at lake Balea and go towards the tunnel. There is a descending section through Balea ridge up to Balea deep valley (2201m.)From here we descend into Doamnei valley and then Caldarusa cu Iarba valley.

The next spot is Căldarea Lacului from where we keep descending to the place where there are several small waterfalls on Doamnei stream. Soon we get into the woods and keep descending for another 15 minutes, then turn left and leave the stream.

Another ascent follows to a crossroads. We take the one going east descending towards Balea valley. Soon we encounter the blue streak trails.

From here you can go yet on an unmarked path to the beautiful Balea waterfall. Information can be obtained at Balea Lac cottage.
