The red cross trails start at Câinenii Mici railway station. We cross the Olt river and head towards the settlement. We soon start climbing and in about 15 minutes we reach a mountain road which takes us to the top. First we cross grazing areas and then we reach Pleşa Mare (1201m), Zănoaga Câinenilor (1712m,) and finally Chica Fedeleşului (1820m) peaks. The latter is where the main ridge crosses.
