The slightly ascending route starts at the place that used to be the tourist lodge. Once we cross the stream winding roads take us to Izvorul Doamnei spring. Another 45 minutes and we reach the edge of the glacial valley. There is a cross at 1750m height where two other roads meet
A steep rise leads us to the 2188m high Fereastra Mare a Sambetei, where the trails marking the ridge are to be found.
