Sârbi, Wooden church

The wooden church from Sărbi was built in 1760, date carved above the entrance door as well. The church's short tower was built in 1958 after the old one was destroyed in 1956 due to a lightning that took the life of the ringer.

On the south side right in front of the entrance there is a porch with arches and piles with rosettes, rhombs and ropes. The rope's motif surrounds the entire church and is used at the entrance door's decoration frame. The arm in rope appears on the beam on top of royal doors.

The church's interior is painted. The nave's painting including the altar's painting was made in 1824 by painter Ispas Dimitrie and his son Ioande from Gilău. The church's chorus was built in 1947. All the windows were enlarged also.

On the back side of entrance door fragments of an inscription can be seen.
