The once royal road (Via Regis), which connected Sibiu to Muntenia passes through the village belonging to Sercaia parish. This village guards two special bells. The first was a present from Maria Theresa in 1771, the second, two years later, a persent from her son, Josef II, future emperor of Austria. The clearing of Vad is located 4 kilometres away from the village on a 394,9 hectare reservation with blooming daffodils. This is where the daffodil folk festival takes place each year attracting a large number of tourists.
