The Viștea Mare Peak is the third peak of the country, after Moldoveanu and Negoiu. Situated in the middle of the main ridge of Fagaras and at an altitude of 2,527 meters, it offers visitors exceptional scenery. Given the small difference in height and the small distance separating them, the two peaks Viștea Mare and Moldoveanu together form a huge mountain trapeze. From the tip of Viștea Mare you can reach the Moldoveanu peak, starting south on a short track of only 421 m, marked with a red dot. On the tip of Viștea Mare you can reach the route:
