The Roman Catholic Parish of Ciacova appears for the first time in 1333 in the Papal Decimal Lists gathered that year.

In 1724 the parish was restored and equipped with the necessary ones. The first church was built in 1731 in Baroque Provincial style. The present church was built between 1880 and 1881 in the Neo-Gothic style and is celebrated in the Trinity.

Upon its built, the then bishop, Alexander Bonnaz, gave the church two beautiful stained glass windows. Two chapels were built on the territory of the parish: the Chapel of St. John Nepomuk, and in the cemetery the chapel of the Seven Doctrines of the Virgin Mary.

Pillar of St. Mary, in front of the church was built in 1800.
