The Christians claim that the locality's beautiful church was brought from Câmpia village located 20 km away. The construction year and the painter are unknown. It is assumed that it was built in 1763 or 1765 and the painter was Nichita.

In 1839 the church belonged to the Greco-Catholics. During the communists it was taken by the Orthodox.

The church has on its south side a porch with arches and columns beautifully decorated. On this side there is the beautifully decorated entrance. The painting is one of the best well kept one from Sălaj, it looks very much like the painting from Zalnoc.

On the nave's vault there are biblical scenes. The iconostasis has three parts. The top one is representing Jesus on the cross, flanked by the two robbers' crosses. In the second one the 12 Apostles can be seen. The third one represents events of Savior's life.
