Many would like to know the year of construction of the reformed church in Cetatea de Baltă. Some believe that the two old towers built in 1060, remained standing in the Tatar invasion in 1241 and now see behind the organ. Later they were merged into masonry and embedded in the enlarged church after the Tatar-Mogolean invasion. The tower 14 meters high was built of brick only stâlpișorii of the two windows are stone. The famous head of the Tartar in the tower, was rebuilt by reformed along with the frescoes of the ship, made in the XIII-XIV centuries. The frescoes were discovered during restoration work in 1897.

The head of the head was red and the pink head strident. Up to the hat is 57 cm, the neck is 22 cm, and the head width at eye level is 45 cm. The head was framed in a circle, and surrounded by red flames. It was probably accomplished after the Tatar-Mongol invasion, which exterminated the population of the locality. Another curiosity, the two windows of stone sculpture prove the Catholic past of the church. The external walls are supported by 4 blocks.
