The current Complex of the University of Medicine and Pharmacy was built to military school . Achieving three-storey building in the form of E was entrusted in 1907 entrepreneur " Grünwald Testvérek " in Budapest , who in the autumn of 1909 the main building and buildings completed 1-2 levels for teachers and cadets housing . Nationalization building became state property. Now all the buildings are occupied by UMF.

After the World War II the building was moved to the Faculty of Medicine Bolyai University of Cluj -Napoca . In 1948 founded the Institute of Medico - Pharmaceutical . In 1962 was founded the Romanian section of the University, the number of students has doubled. In 1991 , the Institute was given the name of the University of Medicine and Pharmacy. Many of the doctors who graduated here came known in the country and abroad.
