The new Greek-Catholic Bishop Palace was built in 1903 after the plans of architect Rimanoczy Kalman Jr. in renaissance style with Baroque and Rococo elements. In 1948 the Bishop Palace had been seized and transformed in a folksy school. After that there was installed the County Library as well. Beginning with 1989 the Greek-catholic church had come out to the light of scilence and begun to fight for its buildings. So it has got back the bishop palace as well. In 2007, the exterior of the building was restored, but the interior works will be finished in 2009.
