Adress: Gorge Coşbuc Nr.80Márton Áron High SchoolIn the middle of the XVIIth century there were only confessional schools on primary level. In Csíksomlyó the Ninirites opened a school first on primary then on higher level as well keeping at home the youth that learned abroad before. But the history of the school was very stormy: in 1661 the Turks scorched the school, in 1669 the school was rebuilt and in 1690 there already learnt 171 (szekely) children. In 1694 there came the Tartars but the belivers repeled them. Above 1780 there was built the first stone school what was expanded accorded to the claims during the years. The idea of employing laic teachers was first recorded in 1848 and in 1895 the idea of moving to Csikszereda as the building in Somlyó turned put to be outdated and poky. So on 29th of March 1909 the construction had started and in 1911 the school started in the today seable scool having 365 rooms. Here learned Márton Áron Transylvanian bishop as well. In 1990 the scool was called after him.
