The blue triangle trails as well as the red dot one start at the building which used to be the tourist lodge. After an hour of climbing we found ourselves in the realm of alpine meadows, dwarf pines, and cranberry bushes. Another hour through a rocky region and we reach the grassy Mosului ridge (2200m) where the red dot trails take another course. Following the blue trails we head west. We go around Somnului peak and reach a narrow pass which is the starting point of a steep ascend to the Urlea peak (2473m.)Form here a path descends to Mogosului pass (2344m)
