Starting from Suru saddle we go past Găvanu peak and reach the cauldron bearing the same name. We leave behind the last peak above 2000m (Vârful Moaşei, 2034m), and meet the trail
We reach Apa Cumpănită saddle (18707m) accompanied by the blue triangle trail. We leave this trail behind and after an ascent we reach peak Tătarului (1890m) and descend to Tătarului saddle.We go round some peaks and keep descending. At Chica Pietrelor (1649m) another trail starts
We go round Chica Pietrelor peak walk on the ridge for a short time, cross a number of clearings and start descending on Muchia Plăieţului hill. Leaving the hill behind a rugged descend leads us to Olt valley. There is a train station here as well as a highway.
