The red triangle trails start at Sambata de Jos and lead us to Sambata tourist complex (15km.) A forest road takes us from Sambata into the woods. After two hours of walking we reach the glacial valley from where we can get a glimpse of Piatra Caprei limestone rock rising above the level of woods. There are two signs, a red triangle and a blue one, both triangles lead us towards this rock. 15 more minutes of easy climbing from Piatra Caprei upwards and we reach the place that used to be the Valea Sambetei tourist lodge.
