Length: km
Height difference: +160/-1900 m

The blue triangle trail heads south accompanied by other two trails

To Brădet, through Vâlsanului vale

To Brădet, through Zănoaga

after a 30 minutes walk we reach Curmătura Galbenei. The trails turn right in the direction of

To Podul Giurgiului sheep–folds

Our path takes us to peak Galbena. Another 20 minutes of walking on the narrow ridge and we reach Scărişoara mountain. At this point the three trails diverge. We head south on the ridge of Scarisoara and climb to Scărişoara Mare peak (2495m.) Then we descend into Căldarea cu Izvoare. In foggy weather we should not start out without a compass, which would help us keep our direction southward. We reach a wide mountainback; we go around two peaks and start descending on a road marked by stone heaps. We reach Curmătura Maliţei, 1830m where more roads meet

Portiţa Viştei-Slatina

Our path keeps heading south, we cross two peaks, then keep descending through clearings for a long time. 5 more kms on a forest road and we reach Nucşoara.
