The blue cross trails start higher, at the meeting place of brooks Scării and Izvorul Negoiului.When we leave the woods behind we are already at 1550 m altitude. We keep climbing. There is a 200m heigh waterfall in front of us. A tiresome ascend takes us to the glaciar threshold, above the waterfall. We cross the brook and head towards Scării saddle (2146m) through an area of fallen rocks. Below the ridge we cross the rusty pass of mountain Puha. We follow the winding roads and in a short while a road turns left leading to Barcaciu tourist lodge
We cross the water, we go into the woods and start climbing on Serbota. The blue strak trail turns right:
We pursue on our way and soon reach Negoiu tourist lodge.
