The red triangle trail starts at Plaiul Foii forester’s lodge. It crosses the water and soon reaches a crossroads where we turn left accompanied by the blue triangle and blue streak trails. After walking about 1 km we reach the point where Bârsei Tămaşului és Valea Runcului brooks meet. We climb to Plaiul Mare clearing where the blue streak takes another route. We proceed to Curmătura Foii where a number of roads linking other mountains meet. We turn left and climb to Tămaşul Mare peak (1735m). Once we descend crossing a number of peaks we reach Curmătura Lerescului Mic, 1450m.
