The Ortișoara church was built in 1809, in baroque style, according to the plans of Schmidt Anton. The altar painted by Hemmerlein represents St. Hubertus with the deer crown. St. Ubert, the hunter patron and animal protector, lived between 655 and 727. According to the legend, after the death of his wife, on Good Friday, he went hunting and met a deer wearing between the horns the sign of the cross shining. At that time, Hubertus's life changed, he gave all the riches of the poor and the church, and lived seven years as a hermit in the mountains.

Later he became bishop of Maastricht (hence wearing the episcopal rod and an angel brings the mitra). When the Episcopal office was transferred to Lüttich, the cathedral was built. (This is seen in the background of the painting). The organ with 10 registers was built in 1806 by Timisoara Walter Jacov. In the tower are 3 bells, the first being poured in 1787. In the park in front of the church we can admire the statue of the Holy Trinity and a beautifully decorated well.
