The wooden church from Bălan, Cricova village was made in old times inside Bălan Monastery.

According to the tradition it was brought in the village in 1848, during the revolution. After all probabilities it is one of the oldest wooden churches from Sălaj and Transilvania. The little church is mortared and whitewashed, inside and outside.
