In Popești locality there is a Greek-catholic church built in 1888. The story goes that the money came from the Budapest's government and 40 wagons took the materials for its construction. And because, along the history in Transilvania, the religious beliefs have changed many times only the front's church memorial board and faithful Greek-catholic Christians bemoan the old church. After abolition of Greek-catholic church in 1966 it became orthodox. In 1994 the interior was painted in Byzantine style.
