The secessionist palace of the Chamber of Commerce and Industry was built in 1910, according to the plans of the architect Josef Huber.

The designer combined the features of Gothic, Renaissance and Moorish styles. There are several turrets on the frontispiece, and the rich ornamented windows and doors attract attention. The Chamber of Commerce and Industry functioned here until nationalization in 1940.

Until 1989 it functioned as a town hall and party headquarters, and since 1992 it has been home to the Prefecture and the County Council.
