The Babeș-Bolyai University's Mineralogy Museum, based on the collections of the Institute of Mineralogy (Ferenc Jószef University), has a wide variety of minerals. The collections were reorganized, renewed by donations, exchanges, purchases and collections by teachers and students.

The museum currently holds approximately 16,500 samples (of which around 12,500 minerals, over 3700 processed gemstones and 223 meteorites) grouped in 13 collections, exhibited in 36 showcases. Here you can admire the most varied and representative collection of its kind in Transylvania! The museum is located in the center of the city, in the building of Babes Bolyai University in the building's lobby and 2 exhibition halls. For organized groups (minimum 6 people), free specialist guides (in Romanian, English or French) can be provided.
