In this upstairs house the famous politician and poet Emil Isac (1881-1954) lived for 50 years. During this time he was visited by people known as: Bogdan Petriceicu-Hașdeu, Ion Luca Caragiale, George Coșbuc and Ady Endre, because Emil Isac also spoke Hungarian well.

During 1970-1995 the first floor worked Dacia Publishing. Under the gate can be seen a memorial board, and in the house until 2001 there was a memorial museum, where the poet's work room, the 1700-volume library, with several dedicated specimens remained intact. The followers - son and later nephew of the poet - did not want to keep the museum with the poet's memories, just the house. Thus the collection reached the County Library on Dorobanti Street no. 104. The library refurbished the furniture, inventing the library and the literary heritage, and exposed them on the fourth floor.
